Lydia
Webster was married to William Webster.
Their children were: Nathaniel Webster 7
Jan 1764, Joseph Webster (12 Jul 1766). William Webster (4
Jan 1768), Stephen Webster (27 Nov 1769), Lydia Webster (2 Feb 1772), Mary
Webster (24 Mar 1774) Timothy Webster (3
Aug 1778), and John Webster (15 Feb 1780). In 16
years they had 8 children. Note:
William and Lydia Webster named a son a daughter
after themselves. Their son married a
Lydia (Wilson); this couple also named a son a daughter after
themselves. I am puzzled as to why they waited to use
the name William until their third son.
My guess is that their first two sons, Nathaniel
and Joseph, may be named after Lydia’s father or either of
their grandfathers. |
