Blanche Lorinda Almedia (Ayer) Hall, b Jan 29, 1884 in Lowell at home
in the "May House" (about 1400 Varnum Avenue) She and 3-4 of her
siblings (William {Feb, 1882} Lorenzo, Harriot) were born in the same house
but in 4 different cities (Lowell, Tyngsboro, Dracut & Chelmsford). The house stayed but the city lines were
moved! The family moved to 7 Varnum
Ave in 1891. Blanche married Irving
and moved to 81 Varnum Ave. She had
two sons, Richard Ayer and Elliott Webster.
(Elliott married Flora Glow; they had one daughter, Judith Lucille who
was born on January 31st, 1943.)
After his death in 1923, she worked as a personnel supervisor for New
England Tel & Tel until retirement in 1936. She lived with son, Elliott Webster Hall
until her death. Blanche was very active
in the Pawtucket Congregational Church.
She died on Dec 6, 1951 at age 67 following "ill heath". |
