Video should begin with a readable five to ten second title.  Title should include:

First line: The Title of the Song

Second line: Parody of “The Title of the Original Song” (Or: Adaption of The Title of the Original Song)

Third Line: Scientist’s Name preceded by either: with respects to, dedicated to, a song about, etc.

Video should end with readable five to ten second credits.  Credits should include:

First line: Created By

Second line(s): First & Last Names of your group members

Third Line: Music By: (Original Composer(s) & Writer(s) Names of the Original Song)

100% of the song lyrics must be synchronized and readable as the video plays.

·      Copy & paste your lyrics to save time and ensure proper spellin! (WMM does not have spell check!)

·      One to ten words at a time.

·      Words should be visible while performers are singing, not during pauses.

·      Choose a readable font and color

·      Use subtitle at bottom (overlay) only. 

·      Titles and Credits > Title overlay on the selected clip > Change the title animation (Look under One Line Titles, 1/3 of the way down) > subtitle at bottom (overlay)

Accompanying music must be instrumental/karaoke.  Original recording with original vocals may NOT be used.

One file-pair per group.  Each student does not need to turn in an individual file.

Simple Movie Maker Guide (Vista)

Begin:

Copy your raw footage from your camera to your “Videos” folder on your account.

Open Windows Movie Maker

Click: File > Save Project As… (see rubric for name)

Save your project file to your My Videos folder

* Save your work often!

 

Import Videos:

Click Video (under Import)

Navigate to your Videos folder

Highlight video file(s)

Click the Import button

Drag videos to the storyboard

 

Editing and titles will be guided in class.

 

Publish Movie:

Click:

Publish To

This Computer

Click: Save to Your Name > Videos (under Publish Movie)

Enter the proper filename and ensure that your movie will be saved to your Videos folder

* Note: do NOT save to the Shared/Public Videos folder! Under: “Choose a place to save your movie” click the Browse button to choose your Videos folder. 

Click: Next

Choose> Other settings: Windows Media VHS Quality (1.0 Mbps) Video

Click: Next, Finish, etc.
