TOPIC : The Bombing of Dresden. The speaker is Helen Luck who was a refugee in Dresden at the time of the allied attack. You want to hear her exciting and fascinating story of survival and her escape from the Russians to the northern part of Germany.
A new book on “Dresden “ by British historian Frederick Taylor will be reviewed by Dean Smith.
OCTOBER MEETING SUMMARY
Lici Calderon recounted her experiences as a teen-aged girl evading the German authorities in Czechoslovakia during WWII. She and her family escaped from a concentration camp with the aid of their long-time gentile neighbors. Attendance at the meeting was 87.

The Army has tested 75 light armor kits for the Humvees and has ordered 400 more from Battelle.
