SEPTEMBER MEETING SUMMARY
Donald Tyler and Dr. C.O. Stewart related their experiences as members of the first all African American combat unit, the 555 Parachute Battalion, in WWII. They never saw combat but were employed as firefighters in the pacific NW to contain the fires set by the Japanese balloon attacks. Attendance at the meeting was 92
