JUNE MEETING
SUMMARY: Mrs. Susie Brown, whose father was an infantry officer
at D-Day, related several incidences
involving General Patton including the liberation of the Lipizzaner Horses. Jack Darnell, a 14th Air Force
meteorologist, told a few of his adventures from the US to China via North
Africa and the middle east including his delivery of $50,000 in silver coins to
a group of fearsome looking and menacing Arabs.
Attendance was 84.
