JANUARY MEETING SUMMARY: Dean
Smith reviewed 2 recent books about the battle
of
major defeat of the German armies. Over 2
million soldiers were involved and the
casualties
were high. Two other good books dealing with
the Russian Front” and “Ivan’s
War”.

experiences as a German soldier before

FIFTH ANNIVERSARY PHOTOS : At the October 2006 meeting group
photographs were taken of 41 WWII veterans and 17 Korean War veterans as part
of the ceremonies commemorating the 5th
anniversary of our roundtable. To date 24 and 14, respectively of these photos
have been claimed. The remaining 8x10 color pictures will be available free of
charge at all future meetings for the 20 veterans who have yet to acquire
theirs.
2007
THEME: “Bring Two Veterans”. Personally bring 2 veterans and their
families with you to our meetings.
