Gold Cord Lake hike is probably our most standard hike when we visit Alaska. Although it can be a bit steep and boldery near the top, this is a pretty easy hike with a nice lake in a bowl at the top of the trail. The weather was nice, but dark clouds moved in so we hurried down but got caught in hail and a downpour.

On Thursday drove to Anchorage with Mom and Dad, visited a shop downtown, had a snack at Burger king and drove around Lake Hood.
