A Night in Vienna - Akron German Family Society 2014

Saturday Night we attended the GFS Vienna Night. The weather was lousy. It was windy, cold and the roads were snow covered. They say about 30% of the crown didn't make it to the show, but for those of us who did, it was a elegant, entertaining evening. Dinner was delicious as it always is and the Fred Zwick Band entertained with a combination of waltzes and polkas, but the Youth Group Dancers were the reason for the night. A huge "Thank You" goes out to the Youth Group leaders, Steve and Carri Sensius who taught and perfected the group in the waltzes. The dancers worked for months learning or re-learning these dances and their effort showed on Saturday night. This was Svea's (and others who have just moved up into Youth Group) first performance with this group. She was flawless and looked stunning. Actually everyone looked incredible. The girls were beautiful in their poofy dresses and the boys were very handsome in their tux ties and cummerbunds.
