IHM 5K

Svea, Brigitta and I ran the IHM 5K and Annika and Joan ran the IHM 1 mile. All five of us shaved at least 2 minutes off of our 2013 times. The weather was very nice. It was crowded enough that I couldn't find my good friend Rich Reikowski before the race, but he found me about halfway through. He set a good pace for me and it was very nice to have company, even among hundreds of people I know. My "that probably won't happen" goal for the race was to get under 30 minutes, but really I would have been happy with anything under 33 minutes, which was my time last year. Considering I haven't run any real distance since last year, I'm delighted with 30:18. 2004 IHM alumni Jonathan DeWitt set a new course record of 14 minutes and 59 seconds.

After Brigitta's game at Holy Family in Stow, we stopped at Stow Cone for ice cream. 85mm f2.0 & f2.8.
