August 8-30-2015 (David)
August has been a whirlwind of a month. The first two weeks were spent on a 6,000 mile road trip to LA and back with several stops in national parks. We took about 5,000 photos and I'm getting to them as I can. Colorado (Aug 2nd) and Arches National Park (Aug 3rd) have been sorted and edited; more to come.
I began school prep as soon as we
returned. Brigitta and Annika began their 8th and 5th
grade school years a few days later. Svea began her
sophomore year last Monday. The beginning of the school
year is always an extra busy time for me, especially with two
junior high electives: digital photography and physics
challenge. Physics challenge is a hands on project based
class. For their first assignment my students will be
designing and building gliders that will safely carry an egg a
maximum distance. The Goodyear Airship
